Pneumatic positioning unit

Positioning units are used to precisely position the workpiece carrier after stopping. When the positioning cylinder is extended, the workpiece carrier is centered with suitable locating pins and thus exactly positioned. Typically, the workpiece carrier is lifted by the positioning slightly from the conveyor belt and above pressed against a fixed stop. Thus, the workpiece carrier no longer rests on the conveyor belt and processes on the work piece can occur without vibration. The positioning units are supplied without accessories and have a receiving bore for the insertion of suitable locating pin. In many variants, the upper and lower position of the stop can be detected with inductive proximity switches or with magnetic field sensors (T-slot sensors).
