Square Connectors (Allowable Voltage: AC350)

Rectangular connectors are designed with a rectangular interface. They are frequently used in products such as discrete wire IDC connectors for terminating multiple discrete wires and D-sub connectors used in office appliance and computer interfaces. The connectors are usually used in sets that comprise the male (pin connector) end with exposed terminals and female (socket connector) end where the pin is inserted. The connectors come in either straight types that mount perpendicular to the circuit board or right angle types that mount horizontally to the circuit board. Wire termination methods include soldered, crimped, IDC, screw-mount, etc., and are different for each connector.

A crimped wire connection type D-sub connector. The cable can be connected to #20–28 AWG (using two types of terminal pins).[Features]· Has a metal shell and so is small and lightweight.· Connector mounting can be performed on the chassis, front or back, or one of the sides.· The attaching and detaching of the terminals is done by pressing the retainer sideways.
