Shaft-mounted brushes are tools with a shaft that are mounted on electric tools and used for polishing, deburring, paint removal, and the like. They are used when polishing a work surface by hand. It is most effective if the bristle tips of a brush with the shaft is pressed against the workpiece, so it is appropriate to cut the bristles to about 1 to 2 mm. Also, the tools that they can be attached to differ by shank diameter, so caution must be taken when using.
