Ball buttons are jigs used on the receiving side of plungers. A plunger is a mechanical part that determines and fixes the position of a workpiece. They are used for ball plungers and spring plungers. They are heat treated to confer high abrasion resistance, and are suitable as receiving jigs where accurate positioning is required. Select a suitable one based on the thread diameter and outer diameter of the plunger.
[Features]· Please use these ball buttons when the receiving sides require abrasion-resistance or accurate positioning.· These are especially effective for heavy load plungers.· Usable for ball-type and also pin-type plungers.· Heat-treated and polished.· Easy to press fit and drive in.· Implement transition fit or interference fit holes for installing the ball buttons (BB).· Material/finishing: SK4 (hardness: 60–62 HRX).
Optimal for receivers requiring abrasion resistance and accurate positioning.[Features]· Use on receivers requiring abrasion resistance and on receivers requiring accurate positioning.· Especially effective for plungers for heavy load.· Usable for ball-type plungers as well as pin-type plungers.· Heat-treated and polished.· Easy to be press-fitted or driven in.· Please make sure that the mounting hole for the ball button BB supports transition fit or interference fit.
Spring plungers can be used for locating or for applying pressure, as a detent or for ejection. The spring plungers compensate tolerances of up to 0.008" (inches) of the locating hole by self-clamping. This saves costs in the machining of the locating hole.
